ISO 14001 Lead Implementer

ISO 14001 Lead Implementer is both a training course and a certification.

Candidates will be required to follow the training course in self-study mode or E-learning mode at their convenience, considering the 12 months’ timeframe for training and certification.

Pre-recorded videos and materials will be made available to the candidate for further training. Candidates will also have access to an examination questionnaire to help them prepare for the exam. Candidates will be allowed two attempts at the exam, but these must be completed within the allotted time.

The PECB ISO 14001 Lead Implementer training course helps you develop the necessary competencies to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve an environmental management system (EMS). After attending the training course, you can take the exam, and if you successfully pass the exam, you can apply for the “PECB Certified ISO 14001 Lead Implementer” credential. The internationally recognized “PECB Certified ISO 14001 Lead Implementer” certificate demonstrates your professional capabilities and competencies to implement an EMS based on the requirements of ISO 14001.

The ISO 14001 Lead Implementer training course is intended for:

By the end of this training course, the participants will be able to:

·         Explain the fundamental concepts and principles of an environmental management system (EMS) based on ISO 14001

·         Interpret the ISO 14001 requirements for an EMS from the perspective of an implementer

·         Initiate and plan the implementation of an EMS based on ISO 14001, by utilizing PECB’s IMS2 Methodology and other best practices

·         Support an organization in operating, maintaining, and continually improving an EMS based on ISO 14001

·         Prepare an organization to undergo a third-party certification audit

This training course is participant centered and:

·         Elaborates theories, approaches, and best practices used in the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of an EMS

·         Encourages interaction between trainers and participants through questions and discussions

·         Provides theoretical basis supported by practical examples

·         Provides quizzes with stand-alone questions and scenario-based quizzes, intended to prepare the participants for the certification exam

In order to fully benefit from this training course, participants should have a basic knowledge of ISO 14001 requirements. In addition, a general understanding of environmental management principles and concepts can also facilitate the learning process.

·         Day 1: Introduction to ISO 14001 and initiation of an EMS implementation

·         Day 2: Implementation plan of an EMS

·         Day 3: Implementation and monitoring of an EMS

·         Day 4: EMS evaluation and improvement and preparation for the certification audit

The “PECB Certified ISO 14001 Lead Implementer” exam fully meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP). It covers the following competency domains:

Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of an environmental management system 

Domain 2: Initiation of an EMS implementation

Domain 3: Planning of an EMS implementation based on ISO 14001

Domain 4: Implementation of an EMS based on ISO 14001

Domain 5: Monitoring and measurement of an EMS based on ISO 14001

Domain 6: Continual improvement of an EMS based on ISO 14001

Domain 7: Preparation for an EMS certification audit

PECB Certified ISO 14001 Lead Implementer exam will be 100% online.

Candidates will be asked to come to 1simple1's premises or take the exam in our accredited exam room, where they will be supervised in real time or you can take it from your home.

PECB Certified ISO 14001 Lead Implementer exam lasts 3hrs. Candidates may retake the exam if they fail during the 1-year interval.

Once you have passed the exam, a certificate will be issued if you meet all the requirements for the selected title.

Certification and examination fees are included in the price of the training course.

PECB will provide over 500 pages of instructional materials containing explanations, guidance, and practical examples. 

An attestation of course completion worth 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits will be issued to participants who have attended the training course.

In case of exam failure, the candidate can retake the exam once for free within 12 months following the initial exam date.
