ISO 9001 Foundation

The ISO 9001 Foundation is both a training course and a certification.

Candidates will be required to follow the training course in self-study mode or E-learning mode at their convenience, considering the 12 months’ timeframe for training and certification.

Pre-recorded videos and materials will be made available to the candidate for further training. Candidates will also have access to an examination questionnaire to help them prepare for the exam. Candidates will be allowed two attempts at the exam, but these must be completed within the allotted time.

ISO 9001 Foundations is a two-day training course which focuses on the concepts of quality and quality management, and provides an overall explanation of ISO 9001 requirements for a quality management system (QMS). In this training course, you will be acquainted with the various aspects of a QMS based on ISO 9001, such as the role of top management, risks and opportunities, quality policy, processes that shape product and service provision activities, requirements for performance evaluation, and the importance of continual improvement.

After completing this course, you can sit for the exam. If you successfully pass the exam, you can apply for the “Certificate Holder in ISO 9001 Foundation” designation. This certificate demonstrates that you have a general knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements for a QMS and enables you to be part of QMS implementation projects..

The ISO 9001 Foundations training course is intended for:

·         Managers and consultants seeking to know more about quality management

·         Professionals wishing to get acquainted with ISO 9001 requirements for a QMS

·         Individuals engaged in or responsible for quality management activities in their organization

·         Individuals wishing to pursue a career in quality management

Upon successful completion of this training course, the participants will be able to:

1.      Describe the quality management concepts, principles, and definitions

2.      Explain the main ISO 9001 requirements for a quality management system

3.      Identify potential actions and approaches that organizations can use to achieve conformity to ISO 9001.

The training course is participant centered and contains:

·         Lecture sessions are illustrated with graphics, examples, and discussions

·         Interactions between participants by means of questions and suggestions

·         Quizzes with similar structure to the exam

There are no prerequisites to participate in this training course.

·         Day 1: Introduction to quality concepts, QMS, and clauses 4–6 of ISO 9001

·         Day 2: Clauses 7–10 of ISO 9001 and certificate exam

·         The exam fully meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certificate Programme. It covers the following competency domains:

·         Domain 1: Fundamental concepts and principles of quality management and a QMS based on ISO 9001

·         Domain 2: ISO 9001 requirements for a quality management system —Clauses 4 to 10

The ISO 9001 Foundation exam will be 100% online.

Candidates will be asked to come to 1simple1's premises or take the exam in our accredited exam room, where they will be supervised in real time or you can take it from your home.

The ISO 9001 Foundation exam lasts 1hr. Candidates may retake the exam if they fail during the 1-year interval.

Once you have passed the exam, a certificate will be issued if you meet all the requirements for the selected title.

Certificate and examination fees are included in the price of the training course.

PECB will provide over 200 pages of instructional materials containing explanations, guidance, and practical examples.

An attestation of course completion worth 14 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits will be issued.

In case of exam failure, you can retake the exam within 12 months for free.
