ISO 45001 Lead Auditor

ISO 45001 Lead Auditor is both a training course and a certification.

Candidates will be required to follow the training course in self-study mode or E-learning mode at their convenience, considering the 12 months’ timeframe for training and certification.

Pre-recorded videos and materials will be made available to the candidate for further training. Candidates will also have access to an examination questionnaire to help them prepare for the exam. Candidates will be allowed two attempts at the exam, but these must be completed within the allotted time.

An ISO 45001 Lead Auditor is a professional responsible for assessing an organization’s compliance with the ISO 45001 standard. This international standard focuses on occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS). Achieving certification as an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor demonstrates commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and health within organizations.

ISO 45001 is the first global occupational health and safety management system standard that replaces OHSAS 18001. The PECB Certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training course helps in developing the necessary skillset to perform occupational health and safety management system (OH&S MS) audits by applying widely recognized audit principles, procedures, and methods.

This training course has been developed to reflect the importance of an effective audit. It strengthens your knowledge and skills to plan and carry out an OH&S MS audit in compliance with the guidelines for auditing management systems provided in ISO 19011 and the certification process described in ISO/IEC 17021-1.

The exercises provided for this training course are designed to help you practice the most important aspects of an OH&S MS audit: ISO 45001 requirements, auditing principles, tools and techniques used to obtain evidence, leading a team of auditors, conducting interviews with auditees, reviewing documented information, drafting nonconformity reports, and preparing the final audit report.

The successful completion of the training course is followed by an exam. If you pass the exam, you can apply for the “PECB Certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor” credential. An IAS certified and internationally recognized “PECB ISO 45001 Lead Auditor” certificate validates your professional capabilities and demonstrates your ability to audit an OH&S MS based on ISO 45001

By the end of this training course, the participants will be able to:

·         Explain the fundamental concepts and principles of an occupational health and safety management system (OH&S MS) based on ISO 45001

·         Interpret the ISO 45001 requirements for an OH&S MS from the perspective of an auditor

·         Evaluate the OH&S MS conformity to ISO 45001 requirements, in accordance with the fundamental audit concepts and principles

·         Plan, conduct, and close an ISO 45001 compliance audit, in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1 requirements, ISO 19011 guidelines, and other best practices of auditing

·         Manage an ISO 45001 audit program

This training course is participant centered and contains:

·         Theories, best practices used in occupational health and safety management auditing

·         Lecture sessions, which are illustrated with practical exercises based on a case study that includes role-playing and discussions

·         Interactions, made between participants by means of questions and suggestions

·         Quizzes, which are a simulation and preview of the certification exam

The main requirements for participating in this training course are a fundamental understanding of ISO 45001 and a comprehensive knowledge of audit principles.

·         Day 1: Introduction to OH&S MS and ISO 45001

·         Day 2: Audit principles and the preparation for and initiation of an audit

·         Day 3: On-site audit activities

·         Day 4: Closing the audit

·         Day 5: Certification exam

The PECB Certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor exam fully meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP). It covers the following competency domains:

·         Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of an occupational health and safety management system

·         Domain 2: ISO 45001 requirements for an OH&S MS – Clauses 4 to 10

·         Domain 3: Fundamental audit concepts and principles

·         Domain 4: Preparing for an ISO 45001 audit

·         Domain 5: Conducting an ISO 45001 audit

·         Domain 6: Closing an ISO 45001 audit

·         Domain 7: Managing an ISO 45001 audit program

ISO 45001 Lead Auditor exam will be 100% online.

Candidates will be asked to come to 1simple1's premises or take the exam in our accredited exam room, where they will be supervised in real time or you can take it from your home.

ISO 45001 Lead Auditorexam lasts 3hrs. Candidates may retake the exam if they fail during the 1-year interval.

Once you have passed the exam, a certificate will be issued if you meet all the requirements for the selected title.

Certification and examination fees are included in the price of the training course.

PECB will provide over 450 pages of instructional materials containing explanations, guidance, and practical examples.

A participation certificate of 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits will be issued.

In case of exam failure, you can retake the exam within 12 months free of charge.
